Markem-Imaje Corporation, manufacturer and distributor of product identification and traceability solutions, has acquired RSI Systems, LLC (Frederick, Maryland) on July 1st, 2013. RSI Systems is a leading manufacturer of integrated thermal inkjet (TIJ) printing solutions.

This acquisition enables Markem-Imaje to offer TIJ printing solutions for printing high resolution codes, such as complex 2D barcodes, that can be used for traceability, anti-diversion and promotional coding printing applications. It will allow the supplier to deliver new innovations to its customers taht are demanding high speed, traceability printing applications as well as standard coding and marking applications worldwide.

According to Markem-Imaje President Serge Kral, “Markem-Imaje customers will benefit from having an easy to manage and reliable, high resolution printing solution to meet their marking and coding needs, while existing customers, distributors, and suppliers of RSI can expect continuity in their product offering and service, enhanced by added operational support from Markem-Imaje.”
